In February of 2009 Brown and pop star Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time, got into an altercation and Brown would later be charged with battery (which he plead guilty to), ordered to conduct community service and placed on probation. During last night's 10th annual BET Awards Show, Chris Brown performed a tribute to the late, great Micheal Jackson. During part of the performance Brown broke down into tears and was unable to sing the lyrics to Jackson's classic song "Man in the Mirror". Later in the show when Brown accepted a "Fandamoniom" Award, Brown stated "I let you all down before, I won't do it again. I promise you." Up until last night's performance, Chris Brown has been mostly out of the spotlight while trying to navigate through his legal troubles and regain his footing as a singer and entertainer. Does Chris Brown deserve a second chance as an entertainer? Why or why not?
Yes i think Chris brown should get a second chance. Not because he did an awsome tribute to MJ (and beat his girlfriend) but because he can sing.

I understand Chris Brown beat the mess out of her but he does deserves a second chance. I didn't like Chris Brown for a while because of it but people really need to let things go.... I'm not going to say what he did was right or appropiate but everyone makes mistake and everyone cant hold dat agaist him for the rest of his career. For a man to out his hands on a women is wrong but I think Chris Brown is truely SORRY.Personly I dont like Rihanna and I think she pushed him and he just snapped, but i love CHRIS BRONW !
ReplyDeleteI do think that chris brown should get another choice. He knows what he did wrong he knows he let us down and hes trying to fix his mistakes. If he doesn't get another chance then thats what happens and those are his other consequences and if he does get another chance then awesome because he is a good entertainer. But i hope he knows that even though he might get another chance we won't forget what he did. It's a part of history now....

ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't like Chris Brown. And I am a firm believer in second chances because like many girls LOVE Chris Brown, I love rockstars such as Billy Joe Armstrong & Gerard Way. They too, have had their troubling times, but not with the same thing. Drugs & alcohol, that can be rehabilitated. However, abuse isn't some substance you can detox out of your body...it's a hidden personality trait. And I for one, didn't feel the "heart felt" performance everyone else did.

There might be controversy but fact or evidence may not prove that.Even if you think she deserved it that doesn't excuse his previous behavior. Also regardless of weather it was his first time for abuse. However I do agree that he deserves a second chance.
