Recently, there have been several animal abuse cases reported in different parts of Baltimore. Examples of the abuse include a dog getting set on fire, another dog was pelted with rocks, a third dog was found hanging from a fence and a cat was blown up with fireworks. On average, there is about one report of animal abuse each week in Baltimore. In 2009, then Mayor Shelia Dixon created the Anti-Animal Abuse Task Force to try and come up with ways to raise awareness of animal abuse in the city. Animal rights activists are looking for ways to educate Baltimore residents so that the abuse stops. Please respond to the follow:What do you think Animal Rights Activists can do to help stop animal abuse?
I think that the task force that sheila dixon made should put every one who is or has abused an animal be put in jail for at least a year and be fined for those innocent animals that were killed

ReplyDeleteI think Animal Rights Activists can do to help stop animal abuse is to set consequences if any body abuses an animal.
ReplyDeletePut people in jail for a really long long time about 5 years in jail. People will get scared and wont do that stuff anymore

ReplyDeleteThey could make special beacons on animal collars so that way when it being verbally abused by a person in a painful way animal control can come and put that animal in a caring home.Help the animals!!! XD
ReplyDeleteI think the Animal Righs Activist can show why it's bad for animal abuse to happen and tell people how good animals are and how some of them could be harmless. They could also tell you what you could do instead of abusing animals and hurting them vey bad.

But if they do try to stop the abuse it is still going to happen because everytime baltimore city try to stop something it happen again. so i cant say what can animal rights activist can do. STOP GIVING THE ANIMALS OUT (from the shelter)maybe it wont happen - screaming - .
ReplyDeleteAnimal Rights Activist can take in every animal that is out on the streets.They could take them to shelters/adoption agencies like SPCA. Ppl should join those organizations that helps animals from abuse. Puppymills where those animals was getting abused ! The animal rights activist should have had all of the ppl who worked there arrested. IL ANIMALS. And it hurts me to see animals getting ABUSED NEGLECTED etc. Idk y ppl abuse animals. THEY ARE LIVING THINGS. If these animals were humans they would tell you some interesting stories about their life. It would be funny if animals grew n killed or hurt yall who abused or neglected them! <---------INTENSE TOPIC

ReplyDeleteI think the government should make a rule stating, if you kill any animal you will be put in jail. There will be less animal abuses if this happens. Or make sure NO animal are on the streets. Every animal should have a home whether its a animal shelter or some ones house. We need to keep these POOR animals SAFE !

I think animal abuse is terrible because it is not only hurting the animal, hurt other people to see an animal hurt. also it is hurting you because your soon gonna feel guilty for that abuse of the animals.
ReplyDeleteI think that animal rights activist should check people's criminal record before letting people adopt animals.Also, if that person has a criminal record pet store owners should put special collars on the animals so if they are abused the collar will send out a signal and the police will come

ReplyDeletei think that animal rights activist should do monthly checkups on each animal to make sure that they are safe and if not take them away from that abusive pet owner and send them to court to be charged for animal abuse...i think this because animals are just like humans and should be treated like a human.
ReplyDeleteanimals are just like humans . what if some one walked around abusing u like u nothin to the world.i know u wouldnt want it to happen but think about how the animals would feel .if someone were to touch my dog we would have been fightin cause i love my dog to death. dont play.animals dont do nothin to u unless u do something to them thats the way it should be with humans.

ReplyDeleteI think animal abuse should be illegal because the innocent animals have not done any harm to you. Also should at least be put in jail for at least a year to learn their lesson. On how to be have to behave to animals.
ReplyDeleteAnimals rights activists should observe animal owners and make sure that the animal is cared for if the animal isn't cared for then the "owner" should'nt have an animal. Also if your going to have an animal then you should take care of it. If your not going to take care of the animal correctly then give the animal to a loving family that really wants that animal.
